SCANPAN UK

Last updated: 12th October 2026

These Terms and Conditions explain how purchases from scanpan.co.uk work and your rights when buying from us. This website is operated by HAUS Marketing & Distribution Ltd. “We”, “us” and “our” mean HAUS, and “you” means the customer.

1 About us and how to contact us

HAUS is the retailer, contractual seller and payment recipient for purchases made through this website. We are also the sole UK distributor of SCANPAN and administer UK manufacturer’s warranty claims.

Company number: 02984465. VAT number: GB 592 5242 30. Registered, trading and correspondence address: Unit 13, Crabtree Close, Fenton Industrial Estate, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, ST4 2SW. Registered in: UK

Email: info@inthehaus.co.uk. Telephone: 01782 572910. You may contact us by email, telephone or post.

2 Who can buy from this website

These terms apply to purchases by consumers for purposes wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession. Trade and resale enquiries should be directed to HAUS separately.

You must be aged 18 or over to place an order and provide accurate contact, payment and delivery details. We deliver to the UK destinations shown as available at checkout. Any destination restrictions will be explained before you order.

3 Products and product information

The product page describes the product, its main characteristics and any relevant compatibility or care requirements. Please check sizes, hob compatibility and intended use before ordering. Contact us if you need advice.

Images are illustrative and screen settings may affect colour appearance. This does not change our obligation to supply products matching their description or any agreed specification. We will not substitute a different product without your agreement.

4 Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Delivery charges and any other compulsory charges are shown before you place your order. We will not add optional paid extras without your express agreement.

Payment is taken using the methods offered at checkout. Payment collection alone does not mean that we have accepted an order. Any promotional conditions will be made available before purchase. Price changes do not affect orders already accepted.

If we discover a pricing or description error before accepting your order, we will explain it and ask whether you wish to proceed on the corrected basis. If you do not agree, or we cannot fulfil the order, we will cancel it and promptly refund any payment. We will not change an accepted order’s price or specification without your agreement.

5 Ordering and when your contract begins

You can review and correct your order before submitting it. Placing an order creates an obligation to pay if we accept it. The initial order acknowledgement confirms receipt of your order; it is not acceptance.

Your contract with HAUS begins when we send a dispatch confirmation accepting your shipment. Where we expressly accept only part of an order, acceptance applies to those items only. We will explain the position for remaining items and refund any items we cannot supply.

Before acceptance, we may decline an order for a genuine reason such as unavailable stock, failed payment, suspected fraud, an unsupported delivery destination or unsuccessful required age checks. We will explain where appropriate and promptly refund any payment for declined items.

We will provide the order details, these terms and the cancellation information in an email or other form you can keep, no later than delivery. Please retain them.

6 Delivery and responsibility for goods

Available delivery services, charges and estimated delivery times are shown before ordering. Our Shipping Policy gives further details. Unless we agree another timeframe with you, we will deliver without undue delay and within 30 days of the contract being made.

If delivery is delayed, we will contact you. If we refuse delivery, or miss an agreed deadline that was essential in the circumstances or which you told us was essential before ordering, you may end the contract immediately. Otherwise you may give us a reasonable further delivery period and end the contract if we miss it. We will refund payments for cancelled goods without undue delay.

Goods remain our responsibility until you or a person you nominate physically receives them. If you independently appoint a carrier we did not offer, responsibility passes when we hand the goods to that carrier. Ownership passes once we receive payment in full.

Please tell us about missing, damaged or incorrect deliveries as soon as reasonably possible. Reporting promptly helps us investigate but does not shorten your statutory rights.

7 Knives and other age restricted products

We do not sell knives or other age restricted bladed products to anyone under 18. We require suitable age and identity verification before dispatch and at delivery. The checks and accepted identification will be explained before you order.

The buyer must be available to receive an age restricted delivery and present the required identification. These parcels must not be left unattended, in a safe place, in a locker or with a neighbour. We may refuse or cancel an order where the required checks cannot be completed and will refund any payment for goods not supplied. We process verification information as described in our Privacy Policy.

8 Changing your mind and cancelling an order

For most products bought online, you may cancel without giving a reason from placing the order until 14 days after the day you or your nominated recipient receives the goods. For one order delivered in separate deliveries, the period normally runs from receipt of the last item.

Tell us by a clear statement, for example by email or post. You may use the returns form included with your shipment, but it is optional. Send goods back within 14 days after telling us. You pay the direct return cost for a change of mind, as disclosed before ordering.

Our Returns and Refunds Policy explains refunds, delivery charge reimbursement and any lawful deduction for handling beyond what would reasonably be allowed in a shop. It also sets out our additional 30 day policy for unused goods. These additional terms do not restrict statutory cancellation rights.

Cancellation rights do not apply to goods genuinely made to your specifications or clearly personalised. A standard product ordered specially for you is not automatically excluded. Faulty goods rights still apply. Any applicable exception will be explained before purchase.

9 Faulty goods and your statutory rights

Products must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If a product does not meet these requirements, contact HAUS. You do not have to claim under a manufacturer’s warranty instead of using your statutory rights.

Depending on the circumstances and timing, you may be entitled to reject faulty goods for a refund, require repair or replacement, or receive a price reduction. We cover necessary costs of remedies for goods we supplied that fail to meet the contract. The Returns and Refunds Policy explains the main timeframes. These terms do not limit your statutory rights.

10 Manufacturer warranty and purchases from other retailers

Any SCANPAN manufacturer’s warranty is an additional benefit, separate from your statutory rights. Its duration, coverage, remedies and conditions depend on the particular product and the guarantee applicable when it was bought, including relevant advertising promises.

For website purchases, HAUS handles returns, refunds, statutory remedies and applicable warranty claims directly. We will not make a valid statutory claim conditional on manufacturer approval.

For SCANPAN products purchased from any UK retailer, HAUS administers manufacturer’s warranty claims directly when you provide valid proof of purchase. Send the retailer’s details, purchase date, product details and a description of the issue. We will assess the claim under the applicable guarantee and explain the outcome.

Coverage may exclude damage attributable to misuse, accidental damage, failure to follow care instructions or normal wear, where the applicable guarantee provides for that exclusion. We will not introduce exclusions retrospectively or use warranty exclusions to restrict statutory rights.

For purchases from another retailer, statutory rights remain against that retailer. HAUS administering the manufacturer’s warranty does not make HAUS the contractual seller of those goods. The manufacturer’s guarantee is available through our Warranty and Information page and on request in a form you can keep.

11 Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. Loss is foreseeable if it is an obvious consequence or was contemplated by us and you when the contract was made.

Nothing excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, defective products where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, or any other liability that the law does not allow us to exclude. Your statutory consumer rights remain protected.

12 Using the website and your personal information

Please use the website lawfully. Do not interfere with its security, introduce malicious software or misuse another person’s account. Keep your account credentials secure and tell us if you suspect unauthorised access.

Website text, images, logos and other content belong to HAUS, SCANPAN or their licensors. You may view and print content for personal use. Other copying or commercial use requires permission unless permitted by law.

Third party websites have their own terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we use your personal information and our Cookie Policy explains cookies. Neither policy removes our responsibilities for your order. Marketing choices are separate from acceptance of these terms.

13 Complaints and resolving disputes

Please contact HAUS using section 1 if you have a complaint. Include your order or purchase details and the outcome you are seeking. We will investigate and explain our response.

If we cannot resolve a complaint, we will provide applicable information about a suitable alternative dispute resolution provider and state whether we are obliged or willing to use it. You may still use the courts.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you also retain any mandatory protections of the law applicable where you live and may bring proceedings in your local courts. These terms do not require exclusive proceedings in England.

14 Changes to these terms

The version in force when you place your order applies to that order. Later changes apply to future orders and do not retrospectively reduce your rights. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply where lawful. No provision removes information or promises that the law treats as part of your contract.
